At the beginning of the New Year in January 2016, the Lumiere Festival came to London.
30 LED lighting devices appear in the busy, bustling downtown area including London’s Piccadilly circle, regent street, Trafalgar Square, Westminster Abbey, king’s cross, plum fair and so on.some very important streets in the city were shut down to allow the citizens to enjoy these free and beautiful LED lighting art, which turned the city into outdoor LED lighting art.
Central London theatres, cinemas, entertainment venues, gathered in Leicester Square, turned into “The Garden of Light”, designed by French creative company TILT.
The LED lighting devices were made of recyclable materials simulate tropical plants and giant flowers.
“Litre of Light”, designed by Mick Stephson. It was inspired by a simple LED bulb: by putting a recyclable plastic bottle that filled with water and a few drops of bleach on the roof, it can refract the sunlight, as one of the 55w LED bulb.
Many people believe that LED lighting is luxury, but the designer and the device want to emphasize that it is not luxury, actually simple technology can bring some changes in our lives.
” The Light of The Spirit” Designed by Patric Warrender, on the west side of the facade. in Westminster Abbey, gives the architectural statues and reliefs rich and changing color LED lights.
